Nice pickup for the Pokes. Way to go, UW staff.
A comment from Nate Clouse of HuskerOnline.com regarding the recent Omaha MG camp:
3 - Pick your poison with Bellevue West receivers
"Bellevue West senior receivers C.J. Johnson and Malik Hluchoweckyj have already established themselves as two of the best overall players in the state let alone two of the best receivers."
Clouse mentions Johnson as the "top receiver in the state of Nebraska" in another story.
Rivals lists Johnson as a 3-star and #2 overall best player in the state.

Looks like a solid get. The one thing I've seen lately that is giving me hope for the future of our program as a whole (Bball, WBball and football) is the solid recruiting that is going on. Our coaches are really selling WYO. And that has me extremely excited. When was the last time that we could say we were competing for and even stealing top recruits from bigger programs. Especially in all sports! This years recruiting watch has me fluttering on the inside something fierce.
This has me believing that Shyatt will be getting in the top of the conference and NCAA tourney multiple times, and Bohl making us a legit contender on the field and getting us to several bowls, even high profile bowls, if he stays long enough. I even think our Cowgirls will continue to compete at the top of the conference and even be in the NIT and NCAA.

I agree. This was an extremely good "get" for the Pokes!kansasCowboy wrote:Looks like a solid get. Sounds like his dad has instilled a lot of character and integrity in him. Great job by Bohl and company!zappinpoke wrote:http://www.neprepzone.com/sports/bellev ... g.facebook
Really liking this kid and his father.
If CJ duplicates his junior year, and bigger schools suddenly become more interested, Clester said he’ll advise his son to remain committed to Wyoming.zappinpoke wrote:http://www.neprepzone.com/sports/bellev ... g.facebook

“It’s flattering that you jumped on late,” Clester said, “but once you make a commitment — and you can visualize yourself there — stick to it.”
Sounds like a quality family.

Nebraska WR C.J. Johnson verbally commits to Wyoming
Craig Bohl may not still coach at Nebraska, but the 55-year-old Wyoming head coach never stopped recruiting there.
On Thursday, his efforts paid off. Bellevue, Nebraska, wide receiver C.J. Johnson became Wyoming's second verbal commit of the 2015 signing class.
"Yes I will officially be committing to the university of Wyoming," Johnson tweeted Thursday morning.
He later added, "Even though I don't like country music, I'm happy with my decision to be a cowboy!"

Man oh man this is looking good. I want to remain hesitant but good job Bohl.
Land Bartlett.
But...football is a QBs game. Can he land us a Brett Smith? A Bramlett?
Will Bartlett be a QB?

If you ever need to laugh, just remember there was some idiot who wanted Bohl fired after 2 seasons.

I think if Bohl can land the big time local kid, we will all feel better. When Wyoming does have legit D-1 talent, we need to get everyone, even against the big boys. If we can't get a big time Wyoming kid, what makes you think we can get anyone else?
