He's got ties to Bohl and he's only making 150 K. If we paid him close to what Vigen was making we could double his salary.

Under Albin, the offense has average between 34-40 points a game while gaining over 430 yards per game, with a pretty good balance of passing and rushing yards.

The only reason I would not want Albin is so that pizzaboy is wrong again. And can somebody explain spell check to the MF'er?

Definitely an interesting name. No matter who we get, it'd be nice to have an OC we could see players actually improving under.

I'm liking the sound of Albin. It really seems like he adapts based on the offensive talent he has. Some years he's racking up passing yards and others it looks like a dominant rushing attack. But overall, he seems fairly balanced. Bohl obviously has the connection to Albin, but would he poach his old buddy Solich's O-Coord?

He could be instrumental in "re-engineering" the offense. Solich used to be highly run orientated and option based, and has progressively modified the offense throughout his years at Ohio to keep up with the changes in college football.

He's only making $126k/yr so he could at least double his salary.

I think this one checks all the boxes. He's filling the same rolls Vigen filled. He has experience as an o.c. He runs a similar style offense. He has pretty good stats on his resume. He's a Oklahoma/Nebraska guy with NDSU ties to Bohl. He comes from the league just below the MWC. He has connections in areas we recruit in. He's loyal as hell because he's been with Solich for almost 20 years. We can afford him.....

You would have to think Albin is the favorite. Now if he knows a good offensive line coach he can bring with him, we're set.

I would be surprised if it isn't Tim Albin.

I hope so. He's 10 years younger than Hedberg too, got plenty of tread left.

His O-line coach at Ohio looks good, but seems like he's spent his entire life in the southeast, so probably not the best fit.

Is it too much to ask a professional print journalist to learn how to use spell check? That's like a BYU(or Andy Reid) offensive lineman that doesn't know how to hold.

I would be shocked if Bohl didn't already have a short list of candidates to interview. He knew that Vigen was kicking the tires in Bozeman.

I'm pretty sure Bohl has mentioned in the past that he keeps a list of names to call in a pinch. His tree isn't small, so I'm sure the phones have been warm the past couple of weeks. Albin is definitely in that tree...I'd be extremely happy if he was the guy.

Well sure.

A few years ago, a local (national chain) pizza place gave % discounts in regards to how many points the UW football team LOST by. In other words, if UW lost by 30, you get a 30% discount on your pie the following Monday.

I called the pizza chain out, as did many others (including Bohl and staff), and Pizzaboy-Ringolsturd basically called me a liar, that it didn't happen, and asked me to prove it. I don't know why he came after me about that, other than he was being his usual know-it-all-prick-self, but he was proven wrong.

It was a fun thread, I am sure it is still around for your reading pleasure.
