We contain the rush reasonably well. Give up a couple huge pass plays, unfortunately. Our rush attack struggles, but Chambers is able to move the ball on them through the air and on scrambles (he's been holding back so far). Neyor has a huge game. Altogether this equals a POKES victory 24-21!

I think Wyoming although from the outside looking in has struggled, I firmly believe they haven't played their best, nor do I believe they have revealed all their cards. Wyoming shows they are ready to rock the MWC and puts forth their best effort to date and takes it to Air Force. 31-14 Pokes get to 5-0

This game will almost certainly be a one score game IMO. Air Force is very talented and the rushing attack is as good as ever (despite the turnover AF has had on the offensive line). I also love the way our defense stacks up against AF with ball hawks like Muma and Coldon. I am actually predicting an Air Force win of 27-24 because our luck in close games is eventually subject to trouble. Hope I am wrong and the Pokes come out firing on all cylinders and blow out the flyboys.

An interesting read is the relaxing of military requirements which has allowed Air Force to now have 330 lbers on their line. I wonder if the option offense might eventually go out of style at the academies because they used to be a necessity based on military size requirements.

62 Hawk Wimmer OG 6-4 330 Sr. Franklin, WI / Franklin
73 Isaac Cochran OL 6-5 320 Jr. Concord, NC / Concord
67 Kris Campbell OL 6-1 315 Sr. Sterling Heights, MI / Mott

Head scratcher. Traditionally close regardless so safe money is on close game one way or the other.

I think the POKES either get exposed as legit or pretender. I'm going legit with POKES by 10.

Wouldn't surprise me to see flyboys by 10-14 but at this point, I'm thinking POKES are better than advertised. Critical game/measuring stick.

If USU doesn't score 15 in the 4th - including a TD with < 4 minutes left, the AFA would be undefeated at 5 & 0. Against quite similar competition to UW.

I am thinking a 31 - 35 type of game. UW prevails. :thumb:

I would certainly take the under on this one. However I feel Wyo does not stay undefeated in a close one: 24-17 AFA

No prediction, but I will say that this is going to be undoubtedly the most important game of the season. Bigger than Boise, Fresno, CSU, etc.

UConn chose the perfectly viable strategy of "Run away from Muma." It almost worked. AFA won't do that. I expect Muma and one of our safeties to pile up a ton of tackles and the Cowboys win a close one.

24-21 Cowboys!!

Esaias Gandy! He is a bad ass. He brings it every play. Although listed as a senior, he has 1 year eligibility left, and could stay. I think he plays on Sundays soon...he is that talented and tenacious.

He's probably the biggest hitter on the team this year too. I think he has a huge game.

Gameday! Huge game that sets the tone for MWC play. Has a corner been turned? Are the POKES finally legit or just another middling MWC team?

A bit off topic, but does anyone know how I could stream the game today? I'm out of the country and would like to watch it. Kickoff will be around 1:00 am for me!

Choose stream. Streameast will be listed and is a pretty reliable stream. Crackstreams is decent too. Click play and close any popups. Click play, usually after 1-3 popups, the stream will start.

I had a bad feeling about this one and kept it to myself, to which it proved me right....just not a great showing after 2 weeks to prepare, typical and unfortunate....onto FSU next week, probably under the lights
