No clue about this team other than they get second and third scraps to BYU, Utah and Utah state. Corey Calvert, Josh Adam’s old backcourt mate in HS transferred from BYU here. Thinking we take care of business here
How the hell are you supposed to defend the post if you get called for a foul when the big ugly center backs you down? Neither Nelson or Thompson created the contact and both of them got called for a foul because their hands were touching the big man? It's not like they were pushing off. If the big guy is hopping backwards and your hand is out in front, that's a foul on you for getting jumped into? These refs suck.

The refs are keeping this one close.
We need to flop every time he starts to back us down. The refs are clearly protecting him. Better to flop and let him have it if they don't call a foul than get everyone in foul trouble.

Agreed. These refs are terrible. It's like they're trying to set a record for how many times they can blow their whistles.
At least, so far in the second half, they're blowing it against Utah Valley as well.
I'm not typically one to cry about officiating, but dear God these zebras are bad! I'm not sure I've ever seen so many calls get overturned by other officials.
Hopefully we can pull through this and get a win. It will be a good learning experience for our young team on what to do when the officials aren't letting you play.

They haven't called a foul on Utah Valley's big man all game. He bull rushes people in the post and consistently pushes off for rebounds.
Don't look at him sideways, though. That's a foul. Breathing on him is a flagrant.
