Wyoming offense is good enough to do well in conference but their defense needs a lot of work and that is why we will struggle. It will help next year when we have Graham Ike down low.

Hunter Thompson can't do anything at a division 1 level besides shoot occasionally. I haven't seen this bad of defensive footwork ever. He overcommits to every move from his opponent. He's so useless when he shoots 1/8 from 3. The opposing team is sagging off him because his shooting is so bad tonight.

Thompson does seem to hit big threes late in games though
He’s nailed 3 big ones in the last three games. Not sure why we haven’t seen any zone D? Not a huge fan, but might be worth a try, especially against these teams that haven’t shot well against us, but killed us in the paint. Marble and Maldo are exceptional help side defendersLanderPoke wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 8:54 pm Thompson does seem to hit big threes late in games though
Last year, we lose this one by 10. Linder is going to be a good one. I was a skeptic and I appear to have been very wrong...and I couldn't be more delighted.
As for Hunter, Linder has indicated that he thinks he can be a great contributor. Like most of you, I am not there. We shall see.

We are a much better team than recent years, in many different areas. Come conference play we might be an okay team or good but not great team, but a better team for sure. Both a credit to Linder and a statement of how we were scraping the bottom in the Edwards years. Hope we stay healthy (in all ways) and get as many games played this year as we can. I have a feeling that the improvement with this group will be VERY quick.
I really like watching this team.
They will definitely be better once Ike is in but they’re still a productive power forward away from being dominant. It just isn’t Hunters game. I think playing against high schoolers that were all a good foot shorter than him really hurt his development. Man, he could really be deadly if he cleaned up the glass more.

I have to say it is a breathe of fresh air when listening to Linder's press conferences compared to Edwards. I couldn't stand watching Edwards talk after games even if we won.
