Pokes add Nathanial Talich out of Cheyenne Central. I believe he is the grandson of Maury Brown.

That he is! Good player. Will be interesting to see how he stacks up against the rest of the conference. His dad was one hell of a linebacker for the Pokes during the Roach/Tiller days.

I read an article in a Cheyenne online paper that said preferred walk-on for Talich.

That's good and I would hope so! No reason to use up a scholarship when his grandpa is the biggest donor to the men's basketball program.

He's a smart kid. He'll qualify for the Hathaway scholarship, too. In-state kids are a home run for UW.
