Just think, if Texas beats Alabama Thursday, our 2010 OOC schedule may have the #1 & #2 (Boise St.) teams on it. After that, we have TCU, BYU, Utah, Airforce, not to mention the rest of the conference that is getting better all the time. That may be the toughest schedule in the country.
You can tell how big a person is by what it takes to discourage him/her.

We have chance for upsets because we'll be underdogs in nearly every game.

The 2010 schedule says that next year 6-6 would be a good year.

Indeed. Unfortunately a lot of casual fans won't see it that way.

This is exactly what we need to do, keep playing tough schedules, with another recruiting class or 2, we will be tough

Actually, from what I heard on 9 news, Wyoming was the 7 point favorite, due to the 1st half against Texas.

Really? I'm pretty sure we were still 7 point underdogs. The CU loss really isn't as bad as people make it out to be either. Their defense was solid from the moment they switched the person responsible for the defensive playcalling (unfortunately, that was the Wyoming game) and out. This person happens to be the coach who now moved to be co-defensive coordinator at Az State or was it Arizona U?).

If you look at their tougher opponents, West Virginia scored off of short fields a couple of times because of the 3 interceptions coach's son threw, Texas scored 21 out of 38 points off of special teams and interceptions, Mizzou had a safety, forced three fumbles and grabbed one interception, and Nebraska got half their 28 points from a punt return and an interception return, and it was still a close game.

Considering ACS got the starting spot out of that game, I'm very happy with the end result, even though it was embarrassing to be present for the whole ordeal.

If you want more concrete proof I'll look more. But Wyoming was not a 7 point favorite. I bet on the game through Vegas.

I agree with Asmodeanreborn, CU loss wasn't as bad as people make it out to be. Do I wish we could have played it at the ned of the season? Yes, but in the long run I think it will just be a minor bump in the road.

Just saying what I heard on 9news at the time. But oh well. Still wished we could have beaten them, and by a larger margin then CSU did, but, we have one of the most ridiculously difficult schedules next year and hopefully our O-line can hold better.

I expect 6-6 next season. Maybe win #7 can come against AFA or a sleeping Utah or BYU, but if we win the 6 games we should, then we will be bowling again :D

And with the Independence Bowl tie-in for the #3 team, and the #1 most likely going to another BCS Bowl game, Wyoming may or may not go back to the NM Bowl. I just wish that either the WAC was kicked from that Bowl, or they actually would bring a decent number of fans.
