Looks like a complete player
So that's our last scholarship from this year. How many do we have to give for 21? It cant be many. It's crazy to think how fast it's happened, but it seems like our staff suddenly has the luxury of being very selective, after having 5 guys left on the team after Edward's got canned.

Didn't we have one left over from this year, so technically it's this years scholarship.WYO1016 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2020 3:13 pmBen will be a '21 scholarshipOld-Bull wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2020 1:35 pm So that's our last scholarship from this year. That's what I meant. I know what class he's in.
For the 2020-21 season, Wyoming does not have a senior scholarship player. There will be five juniors on scholarship (Jeffries, LaMont, Maldonado, Mueller, Thompson), three sophs (Foster, Marble, Nelson) and four frosh (DuSell, Ike, Oden, Williams). Bowen's commitment will take the roster to the maximum of 13 scholarships next year.Old-Bull wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2020 3:31 pmDidn't we have one left over from this year, so technically it's this years scholarship.WYO1016 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2020 3:13 pmBen will be a '21 scholarshipOld-Bull wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2020 1:35 pm So that's our last scholarship from this year. I believe the staff is done for this go-around (2021), if I'm not mistaken. (One scholarship available for '20-21, but I doubt it's filled at this late date. I believe D'avanzo was their best bet as a grad transfer, but he signed elsewhere.)
We usually have one guy transfer. With as good as these guys are at getting commitments you would have to believe they're just as good at keeping people around.POKE FAN wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2020 5:07 pmFor the 2020-21 season, Wyoming does not have a senior scholarship player. Is it possible they brought stability to the program in 3 months with the mess that was here before?
He said they thought they could win next year. I believe him.
Not only did they fill 8 open scholarships in three months they brought a lot more balance in the classes, although we don't have any seniors. Ike will redshirt into Bowens class. He isnt loading up on upper classmen so he can jump ship like Schroyer tried to do.
Its amazing what these guys have done in such a short amount of time. It feels like something special is brewing.

We've got a lot of new talent...the important part of that phrase is "new". I think there will be some growing pains. Our guys have to learn each other's strengths, weaknesses, habits, and skill level. I'm excited and optimistic about the future, but am trying to manage expectations for the first year.
