Wyoming coach Craig Bohl has guided this program to at least eight wins in three out of the last four years. While Boise State is the favorite to win the Mountain West in 2020, Bohl's team could push the Broncos for the top spot in the conference if Sean Chambers or Levi Williams provides steady play under center, and the defense reloads a bit with just five returning starters. The Cowboys host their three toughest opponents in league play - San Diego State, Boise State and Air Force - in Laramie this fall.

What a crap year to have a good team. Why must the universe always conspire against us?

If there is a plus side (big if), I'm a firm believer in the development program Bohl has in place. If this year doesn't count, I think Bohl and company can capitalize on the extra year of development more so than many (not all) other programs.LanderPoke wrote: ↑Thu Jun 25, 2020 10:27 am What a crap year to have a good team. Could one game give Williams the inside track at the starting quarterback job for the 2020 opener against Weber State? Or is the sample size of one game just too small to give Williams the edge over the more-established Chambers?
Associate head coach/offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Brent Vigen has gone on record as to say there’s a policy at UW that a player can’t lose his job to injury. That could be tested this year.

Said no cowboy coach or fan in the last 20 years. We are looking deeper on the lines now - its a great turn around.McPeachy wrote: ↑Mon Jun 22, 2020 8:33 amIf there is one area of our team that can take the depth hit this season, it is the O line. His GPA will be what is missed the most.LanderPoke wrote: ↑Sun Jun 21, 2020 4:14 pm Sucks that Pat Arnold won't be playing this year. That's a hit to our OL depth.
Wyoming FCS opponent Weber State is showing up in the top eight in a couple of Top-25 polls:
3. Weber State
(11-4, 7-1 Big Sky)
The Wildcats have won a share of three straight Big Sky titles and reached the national semifinals for the first time last year, so two-year quarterback Jake Constantine’s grad transfer out of the program was unexpected.
