I don’t care what Bohl says, they played great for the most part. Actually, a tremendous job considering what the offense “accomplished” and gave the d to work with.

Jay Shawvel did a nice job in his first year as DC.

The D line played really well. So much attrition and they really stepped up. Bertanole, Pate stepped up big time. Harris started to emerge too. Godbout and crall were stalwarts. Impressive job

The linebackers played very well. Muma is fantastic. Charles hicks (hope he’s ok) played very well. Easton Gibbs looks like he’s going to be really good. Suianoa had some good moments too. Didn’t miss too much of a beat from last year. The future looks bright for this group. Blankenbaker also played really well too

The DBs also were a bright spot. Azizi Hearne and CJ Coldon and really good corners. Just solid. The safeties played well and filled the massive void left from last year. Hope both Smith and Gandy are back next year. We’ll need them. Miles Williams and Cam Murray are good looking players too

Be interesting to see what the dline looks like after this year. Hopefully victor jones makes it back. Was he injured last year? Can’t remember who we lost to injury on the dline last year right before the season started

Edit: looks like Holt was the injured one last year but it says he only played 2 games this season . Did we lose him to injury?

They played their Ass off in every game. Worst half of the season was the first one against Nevada and even then they actually kept us in the game with turnovers. Pretty much the rest of the year they were lights out.

The defense was really impressive considering the people who sat out, got suspended, and that Crall's surgery took way longer to heal than expected (though he had an awesome impact once he got back). What gets lost is that they're supposed to be "fresh" most of the time as we're a TOP team, yet we did not do very well in that department, and the defensse still did great with almost no depth whatsoever.

We allowed 319 yards per game, good for 19th in the NCAA. I'll take that any year!

That side of the ball seems to be stabilized and year in and year out is a damn tough group of kids. Fun to watch.

Insults are the last resort of fools with a crumbling position.
