Meh. Still so many baffling things about this game. We still have as many defensive TDs as offensive. We still don’t have a rushing TD. We’re still getting gashed on D overall. Hell of a game, and a wins a win, but this doesn’t exonerate Bohl in my eyes. One thing I have to give him credit for is his teams don’t quit. That’s a strength for sure.

Not gonna lie, I was thinking it was go for it or lose the game right there. Then again who knows, we could’ve gone for it and converted. Well never know.

That's why I'm still in a bit of shock seeing good throws for TDs today. Reminded me of QB play when I was in school during the Roach Tiller years! Good stuff, see it does work

I guess I’m not sure how to feel about this. I watched from the War today, and see them come out 1st set with a different offensive look, and it worked. And then, back to the same ole same ole. As mentioned, his teams don’t quit. The defense scored, so did special teams, and we won. Its frustrating, but who are we going to get? If they are young and have some success, were a stepping stone. Well never retain them. Maybe we could call Jim McElwain…..

Yah I’m worried it was a bit of fools gold but it’s a win. And we actually had a competent passing game. Haven’t been able to say that for a long time.

Williams had some good games. He played well in both bowl games IIRC. He was the better QB than Chambers. Hard to evaluate QBs sometimes in a Bohl offense unless the god given talent is undeniable like Josh.

I just watched Bohls presser after Tulsa. He touched on the BS Andrew got on Twitter after Illinois.

Bohl stated Peasley doesn’t have a 6 figure NIL deal, and is at UW because he wants to be.

I heard a fan making derogatory comments to a defensive player missing a play.

The one thing I’ll give Bohl credit for is standing up for Peasley, players, and I think it’s total BS for fans to come down on the kids. They are playing their heart out. Do they want to go out and not make the play. They need to be supported. Coaches officials different deal - but the kids need to be supported. No matter what.

Without NIL $$$, we better be “fans” of these kids, and make them feel supported!

And I will say, UW looks to be “linebacker U”. Gibbs May follow Logan and Muma to the NFL.

I assume off the bat that people sending death threats to a college athlete are degenerate gamblers with no affiliation with the school. I hope that is the case here.

Agree with both posts. On the other hand, though, kids want paid like pros, they are likely going to have to put up with more of this crap.

Doesn't make it right. It's just another brick in the wall of deterioration of college sports.

Agreed...with the caveat that the death threats stuff should be off the table no matter if somebody is getting paid or not.

It is a bit of a fine line to criticize a players performance without insult to the person, but semi-intelligent fans can do it....it's not out of reach.

I feel the same way. Anytime you score 2 touchdowns on defense you should win easily, not by the skin of your teeth in OT. From my perspective the defense plays a lot of soft zone coverage which leads me to conclude the CBs who came via the transfer portal are not all that good. .I am seriously worried about this team as the defense gives up way too much in passing yards and the offense can only score on big plays and not sustained drives.

You’re not completely wrong, but their qb and WRs made a lot of plays. A lot. I saw our DBs arrive at the same time as the ball quite a few times only to have it completed. The qb made a lot of great throws too. He threaded it in there when the corner was on the guy but he threw it perfectly. Our guys get their hands up and start breaking up a few more of those and it’ll turn around. Break up one pass out of 6 and that will result in a few more punts and lower score. I did notice soft coverage on 3rd and long and we gave up a lot of those conversions. Those are the ones we need to fix first.

Yeah, when I went back and watched the game after listening on Saturday I came away feeling better about the pass defense. Their QB and receivers were impressive in their execution.
