How am I supposed to sleep after that. Peasly isn't great, but boy does he compete, and is a gamer. The pass on 4th and 7 was incredible. We also have some pretty good tight ends. Those two are the best mismatches we are going to have.

I'd also like to say that I feel really good about having defended Peasley against almost everyone on these boards for the last year or so.
I worry about the kid's brain, but the absolute balls on the kid to take hit after hit...shaking off the cobwebs after almost every play...and keep getting up and making plays...
..all leading up to standing up in the face of an absolute monster blitz and delivering a perfect strike to end it.

Portland State is the Vikings. You're thinking of University of Portland of the West Coast Conference (& they don't have football).

Other than wins against the ewes, I’ve not seen The War as electric as tonight (2am as I post) after the drive home. What a game. What a win. TT fans were in shock. They thought they’d roll in for a easy win. Peasley deserves a lot of credit. Gutsy play! Go Pokes!

Rewatching the game this morning. I still can't believe it wasn't a targeting and ejection on the Texas tech guy in the 2nd quarter on the Peasley slide.
Also still can't believe we came back in this after how bad the first 10 minutes were. So glad we finally got a win on a national broadcast at night in primetime. I'm betting the viewership of our game was pretty high with the whole second half being so close. I would imagine it has to help us with recruiting this year.
Hopefully this is a start to a great season.

He certainly made crucial plays in tense moments, he clearly has a passion and is a leader.DamThatRiver22 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 02, 2023 11:25 pm I'd also like to say that I feel really good about having defended Peasley against almost everyone on these boards for the last year or so.![]()
I now just wish he'd make the routine plays during the not-so-tense moments (hit the open guys in the flats, check downs instead of double coverage heaves, etc)
What I find most fascinating is that all those sunshine pumping, friendly, “Texas charm” folks are nowhere to be seen. I was impressed with how nice the Tech fans were that I visited with prior to the game. But now? Crickets. If you go to their boards….which I should t have, you are overwhelmed by the sense of entitlement and incredulity that Wyoming even had a chance. I almost want to lump any fan from Texas as a close second to BYU in their obnoxious superiority complex.
Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.
