With Stewart gone - I guess it is Fawaz? Why did I think he had left the team? Do we have any other options? I don't see any schollie kicker in this year's class. Maybe we grab someone out of the porthole?

Fawaz was announced on senior day. I don’t think he has any eligibility.
I’m going to predict we improve next year in the punting department.
EDIT: it appears Fawaz has eligibility.
I say we just go back to the kicking coach Matt Thompson, who sent us Stewart, and ask him to reload us.

Surely we can find somebody on campus that has experience punting, and wants a free ride to a bachelors or masters degree? All you have to do is consistently kick the MF'ing ball 50 yards at 7220. 45 yards all other areas?

OK, OK, I'll do it - you don't have to beg. I have 4 years of eligibility left on my 48-year-old carcass and would suffer through the college life again if that is what the people need. Now, about the whole 45 yards thing...

I punted in Jr. High (was also a D-end, and an O-lineman. My record is 27 yards. I have 3.5 years of eligibility left (long story). You and I are going to fight for it!

It is really stunning Wyoming would struggle finding punters. When other teams visit Laramie you can almost feel the joy coming from the other team's punter during warm-ups and their punts travelling higher and further than they ever dreamed.

Short memory. In terms of punters during the Bohl era, he was pretty 'good.'

Tim Zaleski. The rumored circumstances to what ended his playing career and how he was treated by a former teammate were pretty awful.LanderPoke wrote: ↑Thu Jan 04, 2024 2:45 pmForgot about that one. Who was that?OrediggerPoke wrote: ↑Thu Jan 04, 2024 12:23 pm

We were first row directly parallel with where he was kicking from. It was like WTF and then a bunch of laughter from the Iowa fans.

Ah, yes. The auto parts King. It's too bad his own teammates ridiculed him, but he wasn't very good.OrediggerPoke wrote: ↑Thu Jan 04, 2024 3:10 pmTim Zaleski. The rumored circumstances to what ended his playing career and how he was treated by a former teammate were pretty awful.

Ridiculed? Ha, no. When your career gets ended because a teammate puts you in the hospital, not good.LanderPoke wrote: ↑Thu Jan 04, 2024 3:14 pmAh, yes. The auto parts King. It's too bad his own teammates ridiculed him, but he wasn't very good.OrediggerPoke wrote: ↑Thu Jan 04, 2024 3:10 pm

Sorry to burst your bubble gents, your eligibility ran out 6 years after graduating high school.
