I really think Wyoming could pull off quite a few combos with that one.J-Rod wrote:http://www.cattelandesign.com/uploads/4 ... 535000.jpg
This would probably go best with a yellow top and brown pants, as well as white/brown. Or Wyoming could go completely unconventional and go all brown.

I hate Alabama helmets because of the damned numbers. No imagination. Needs to be an actual logo like an elephant for Bama.
I want CHAMPIONSHIPS not chicken poop! And we're getting chicken poop!!!!!!!!!!!

We were a regional power in 1987/88. We were good. Loved blowing out teams almost every week in 1988. Plus the classic win over AFA at the Academy. Plus we had great looking uniforms but now...pfff!J-Rod wrote:Coming from the fan who wants all things Wyoming to revert back to the 80's.Wyokie wrote: So?

But Alabama is exactly what you love.. retro. They've had the same uniform combination since.. well, probably before Bear Bryant..Wyokie wrote:So?laxwyo wrote:u also hate baseball.Wyokie wrote:No numbers on the helmets! I hate that!!!!!

I made a blue and gold and white uniform that I liked.
Wyo would make it brown instead of blue of course.
Brown and gold winged helmets like my Princeton Tigers (except theirs is black and orange).
Gold jerseys with what you guys call a stripe down the sides of the jersey and make it a wide stripe.
Brown numbers outlined in white.
Logo on the left (like above the pec).
Brown pants with the same sized white stripe down the sides with brown belt.
Long gold socks.
Brown shoes.
The white on the uniform really helps the look.
And there are some other little combos I have with socks and belts and things.
It is possible to put brown designs/script on the "stripes".
I've made a lot of cool uniforms over the years.

I love some of the work done here on the WYO look and design -- being a fan of sports aesthetics has always been something I love to indulge in...so far as I'm concerned the Cowboys have always had one of the best looks in college football, although, I did not like it when during Joe Glenn's regime they changed it up to that harvest gold color - that wasn't Wyoming football right there.
The big bucking Cowboy in gold on the brown helmet is incredible looking -- I'd buy something like that in a second.
Now, can you do anything to improve the Rockies uniforms ?

like writing "U. Jiminez" on the back of one?DINOCOSTA wrote:Now, can you do anything to improve the Rockies uniforms ?
disclaimer: I could be wrong. I've done it before...I'll probably do it again.

Pitching, pitching, pitching. The Rockies don't have it this year, and their record and current 7 game pants-poop proves it.wyosteelerfan wrote:like writing "U. Jiminez" on the back of one?DINOCOSTA wrote:Now, can you do anything to improve the Rockies uniforms ?

I assume that you are referencing the "Praire Gold" unis? Those were unfortunately adopted well before Joe Glenn. If I remember correctly we adopted them in 2000 under the guidance of Phillip Dubois (then President). In fact, I believe Joe Glenn was in favor of switching back to a more traditional yellowish gold. It was during Glenn's tenure that we made the switch back.

Whatever kind of gold they were called, I didn't favor them.
Joe Glenn was the coach when I became a Pokes fan and they were wearing them at that time...
However, thanks for the clarification -- noted.

I don't think anyone did. They also trotted out an awful horse mascot that was supposed to replace Pistol Pete right around the time they made the switch to prairie gold. There may have been 2 people in the stands that clapped. The 2 minutes it spent on the field was the quietest I've ever heard the War during a game. I'd post a picture of that thing if I could find one, but it looks like the university has scrubbed any existence of it from the web.DINOCOSTA wrote:Whatever kind of gold they were called, I didn't favor them.

You just can't pull something like that off at Wyoming. I don't know what was better that day...the football game, or the crowd reaction of boo's, laughter, and silence when Spooge came trotting out on the field. Hilarious...I will never forget.WYO1016 wrote:McPeachy wrote:Careful what you ask for...WYO1016 wrote:I don't think anyone did.
