Ouch. Poor guy. I hope it's just the lesser of the 2 evils.

Thanks everyone, This is a tough pill to swallow but sometimes your body just won't let you keep going. He has played through two broken hands, Sprained ACL, MCL, a dislocated AC joint, two broken bursa sacks in his knee, and a bone contusion in his foot. He never missed a practice rep until he encountered this injury. It is one that requires up to a year to heal and unfortunately a red-shirt Junior really doesn't have a year to sit around. He has worked very hard and achieved many of his goals. He went from walk on to scholarship, he lettered last year, but more importantly he has inspired many Wyoming kids to "Play for the Brand" The bucking horse is forever etched in his heart and he will always be a Cowboy no matter what happens. I can tell you this he loves his football family and he is grateful to Coach Bohl and the Cowboy staff for believing in him and giving a small town Wyoming kid a chance! Go Pokes!

Best of luck to both of these young men.
You can tell how big a person is by what it takes to discourage him/her.

That's so sad. I'm following a few teams and so many seem to be taking medical redshirts or retiring!
I guess it seems that way every year.
