I don't think that's what he meant.

It's a torn MCL. He's done.
Damn. That's brutal. Hope he recovers quickly

A torn miniscus isn't necessarily an injury that requires surgery and if it's a small tear could be back for the bowl game but don't think he's back in next two weeks

According to game recap today, CBS sports stated if WY wins its last game the MWC game will be in Laramie!

A torn MCL is different than a torn meniscus. A torn medial collateral ligament if severe enough can be a big deal.

Chase was such a huge part of what's happening. Tough break for that kid. Time for the next to step up

ESPN stated the same thing in the game recap

So CBS Sports game recap said :

MWC Championship Game: "The location is not yet set as it will be played on the home court of the highest ranked division champion in the College Football Playoff poll. If there are no teams ranked then the conference will use a combination of computer formulas to determine who will be the host."

So none of the teams will be ranked in the poll. So does anyone know what exact formulas they use to find out which team hosts?

Both CBS and ESPN said if Wyoming wins next week we should host the game. Just curious what formulas the conference uses to come up with who hosts it.

MCL isn't meniscus, it's a ligament. Not extremely likely he returns this season.

From there, and win at UNM, Pokes host SDSU for the title game.

Way to early to ask this question. The Pokes MUST beat NM first, and it's no gimee (unless AF beats Boise State - highly unlikely - and then I don't know how they pick 'em)

No, it's not.

While I won't look beyond the NM game, I'm feeling loose, confident. While I haven't been asked to contribute much to the team this year, I will be ready: maybe a few more pushups this week, limiting my alcohol intake, resisting the relentless amorous advances of my wife on Friday night. So, if they need me, I'll rush out there with a plan...which, at this point, involves blocking by curling up in the fetal position and hoping one of their players trips over me.

In other words, I have little else to do other than wonder what's next.

I know the players can't get ahead but we need to plan for time off etc

Don't get me wrong I know the team can't look ahead but there are hotel rooms to reserve and arrangements to be made as 2 weeks is not very far away.

I read somewhere that the first tiebreaker after head to head is the division record. If we lose to UNM and Boise loses to AFA then we would all be tied at 6-2. We would each be 1-1 head to head and our mountain division records would be:

Wyo 4-1
BSU 3-2
UNM 3-2

Early lines (open/current):

WYO (Pk/-1) @ UNM
Boise (-9/-8) @ AFA
CS-ewe (+12.5/+12.5) @ SDSU
