I think Vigen does some good things this year with our current QB room. I’m optimistic.

I have a better shot of having fun at a Nevada brothel this year than Vigen being imaginative on his super boring playcalling!!!!!

Nothing imaginative about it. Proven running QB with bowl winning back up. Proven O line. Proven 3 Deep at running back. Likely limited training camp for passing schools. It’s a winner this year if it happens.

Yes. Running for two yards just to left of center didn't work too well. Vigen will change this. By running for three yards just to right of center. 50% improvement. Yea Vigen.

Not sure what this means. Nevada is "opening" back up. Casinos and hotels open June 4. Pay to play houses won't be far behind. Not sure if masks will be mandatory.....

I was wondering when they'll open the brothels. Thanks.

BTW, the Cody Stampede Rodeo is back on. Starts June 15th with a max. of 600 allowed attendance to the rodeo per night.

If he could even get the offense in the upper end of the bottom half instead of the bottom end of the bottom half, it would help tremendously.

Yeah. It doesn't need to by the top offense or anything. Simply being average would do so much for the time of possession, points per game, and taking pressure off the defense.

I'm curious to see how much we lose on the defense due to our coaches being poached. Hopefully we're buckled in for the future and the defense is more a reflection of Bohl's coaching of our position coaches and coordinators, but it's definitely a wild card. Losing Logan Wilson will also hurt, but I do think we have some talent at LB, at least.

With all that said, if we're going to have a decent season, offense needs to improve. Even top 75 would be a huge step up.

Well, he does pull a guard now and then, and doubleteams a defensive end every few plays. I'm quickly being sickened by my imagination.....

I like the o-line we are bringing back. We are pretty deep at reciever and te. Running backs look good. When this damned offense clicks, its brutal. I hope that is our 2020 year.

Our main issue is that all our top pass catchers graduated. Even then, its not like we were that big a threat through the air all season. We were more of an option team that would sometimes pass the ball. We do have 2 very good running QBs, but as we've seen, it takes quite the toll on them.

If our passing ability could just get to at least the low 50% on a consistent basis, we'll have a strong year on offense.

This is where my worry is as well. Our TEs seem to have good hands, but they were under-utilized last season. Some of our top receivers had plenty of cases of the drops, but some of that was also lack of QB accuracy or just firing bombs. I'm hoping Gunner spends this prolonged off-season learning from his brother, who apparently runs some sort of a football performance camp now? Aside from him, I suppose Eberhardt caught a few passes, but he hardly ever got separation, which is an issue.

I hope Marcotte's having a full recovery from his knee injury, because he'll be key to our success this coming season. Maybe Weinman will be ready to catch some passes as well. Dude's way too big to only be used as a run blocker. There's no way there aren't mismatches to take advantage of when opponents are thinking it's a guaranteed run play...

I think Alex Brown takes over a starting spot as a RS Freshman. Good size receiver 6’4”, 205. It would have helped to have spring ball to see how stuff sorts out.

LOL Gawd, I'm 46 and I feel like I'm still on the starting line aka life. Hell, I never even kissed a girl!!!!

According to Sports Reference, the 2019-2020 Wyoming Cowboys offense had 109 total receptions. TOTAL. Between Running Backs, Wide Receivers, and Tight Ends. 109. Those 109 receptions generated 1,770 total yards and 11 touchdowns.

AC - 23 Receptions 314 Yards 1 Touchdown
Rocket - 23 Receptions 355 Yards 2 Touchdowns
Harshman - 20 Receptions 264 Yards 2 Touchdowns
Valladay - 11 Receptions 211 Yards 2 touchdowns

Those are the only people who caught double digit balls.

I understand losing AC and Rocket tugs the heart strings a little but c'mon. I don't think we are going to see any noticeable drop off in the passing game.

"...noticeable drop off in the passing game"....this made me chuckle....could you imagine if there were a "noticeable" drop off?....Would that look like some of the incompletions from last year becoming picks?
