Pokes come out strong!! Jensen, Moody, Samuelson, Hastings, Buchanan and Andrews all into the semi-finals and all guaranteeing a top-6 finish. The only minor letdown is Jacob Wright but I bet he comes back strong. Overall, couldn't have hoped for a much better start to the tournament.

After the first session (first two rounds), Wyoming sits in second place (out of 12) as a team only trailing Oklahoma State. If Montorie returned and assuming he was in the semis, Wyoming would be in first.

Me too. It seems that every year the Pokes have fallen flat at the Big 12s. This year is the opposite so far. Let's hope it continues!

Pokes guaranteed a top 4 finish. Team title is super tight with Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Wyoming and Iowa State all having realistic chances to win the tournament. I’ll say this - Oklahoma is in first right now but I’d bet against them winning it.

I actually thought he was over seeded at 6. But yea I guess he didn’t have a very good day.

Wright, Zollman and Jensen all lose. Tough start to the day. Close losses for Jensen and Zollman. Wright had a tough opponent.

I think the title is officially out of reach. But with 5 guarantees to the NCAAs, and at least 1 other (Wright) who I think will get in, this has been a very successful tournament.

I have not done nearly as much following of the wrestling team this year. Its awesome to see some success, especially after so much uncertainty with the team after over 2020.

Yea it did. It was still a good tournament but I want today’s losses to leave a bad taste in the mouth of the team to come out and light it up at the NCAAs.

Here is my prediction: Hastings and Buchanan will become all-Americans. Prove me wrong and let’s have 4-5 AAs.

I really wanted Buchanan to win his match. It would have been nice to see OK St finally lose.
