What an Uplifting Game!!

It always feels great to beat CSU but this game gave me a lot of hope for the future of the program! Here is why:

1) Williams played the role of game manager in the passing game. And that’s all we need him to be. In the running game, he has never shown the kind of burst that he displayed today. Personally, he looked a lot quicker than Chambers. We need a guy that can give Neyor a chance and Williams can do that. We found our QB.

2) Neyor is the most physically gifted receiver to ever put on a Wyoming uniform. And that’s saying a lot when you’re talking about guys like Malcom Floyd and Scottie Vines. Neyor has elite speed, serious hops and incredible hands. Neyor could be Jamarr Chase good at the next level. He is seriously that talented I believe.

3) The RB stable is impressive. Swen runs mean and keeps his feet moving like Brian Hill did. While Valladay has been a great player for years, I kind of like the ball in Swen’s hands more. McNeely also is impressive and had some explosive runs today.

Anyways - this win hopefully can energize this team, and, who knows maybe they can pull off a shocker in Boise.

Marcus Harris, Ryan Yarborough, Wendell Montgomery, Jovon Bouknight, Ryan McGuffey and whoever else you associate with receiver u, those guys were all talented in their own ways and great college players but nowhere close to the physical gifts of Neyor IMO. Met Mr Marcus Harris today, my ultimate favorite Poke on the gridiron. I'd sooo love us to be Receiver U again but doubt Coach Bohl would share my feelings on that. Neyor could be someone special if he gets the ball as needed

Agreed. Such s great win at a great time. POKES played their style and the Bohl identity. Haven't seen that all season.

Most uplifting thing for me is this Bohl team, like the others before, didn't pack it in. Great job coaches and players!

That said, we still live on planet earth and even if the Pokes win out the remainder of the season they’re on the good side of mediocre. They just wrapped up the easy part of the season.

I don't disagree with you, but I'm also not sure 2.5 catches per game is going to be a large enough sample size to get drafted for a Wyoming kid. Hopefully you're right and he stays AND gets drafted.

Being a number one receiver on Wyoming is like being a number one receiver for Air Force. Doesnt mean much when you get the ball 3 times a game. He has the talent to be a number one on a lot of FBS teams and he will get a good 5-10 catches a game. Being a number 2 on some power 5 teams he would get more catches than he gets here. I think the grass is definitely greener for him somewhere else.

Neyor is on pace for ~650 yards and probably 10 TDs, with 10-12 rushing attempts and a rush TD as a freshman. That's not too shabby. If he sticks with the program and continues to progress he will be a 1,000 yard receiver here at Wyoming.

He could easily transfer somewhere and have worse numbers. Maybe better numbers? Who knows? IMO it's a big risk to transfer out and assume you'll automatically be in a better situation. His situation at Wyoming is far from a bad one. Pretty good, I'd say. A lot of players would be thrilled with those kind of number.s

The Neyor should transfer so he can get more catches argument is poop. Talent is noticed by NFL scouts wherever the talent comes from and regardless as to offensive or defensive philosophy. Hell Danny Woodhead had a successful NFL career out of Chadron State despite many calling for him to transfer to a bigger school and there are numerous other examples. Barring injury or arrest or something else crazy, Neyor will get drafted (and drafted high) regardless of school affiliation. Did playing at Wyoming prevent Josh Allen from being drafted high or having a successful NFL career? Get real.

Some of these arguments about Neyor should transfer remind me of a ‘me first’ attitude. It’s like some of you have never played on a team where you become close with your teammates and play for them just as much if not more than you play for yourself.

Regarding transfer, it will be interesting to see how the relatively new transfer rules and NIL stuff impacts the CFB off-season. There's a lot more to the transfer decision than touches, throws, depth chart, etc. I don't think anything is certain one way or another. Maybe someone pays him a nice chunk to promote a car lot in WYO or something??

Georgia Tech did not start running the triple option until 2008 or 09. Calvin Johnson played for Chan Gailey when he was at Georgia Tech.
