Didn't any MWC players get the vaccinations for God's sake?

Good grief! Do they test them regularly or only if they present symptoms?

Turns out the virus is a force of nature, kind of like the weather, and there's really not much anyone can do about it other than letting it run its course. Weird...

Props to Wyoming for cancelling a game more than 24 hours before tip-off. Boise State should take notes on how not to be assholes.

Sounds an awful lot like my initial post about covid nearly two years ago. It's astounding how some just can't come to grips with this reality.

And if 2 weeks is still the isolation period, we shouldn't expect games before the 16th......Yippee!

I can’t be the only one that thinks we should stop testing. The current strain going around has been statistically very unlikely to cause hospitalization or other serious symptoms, especially in college aged groups.

If players are showing symptoms, they should stay home and self quarantine until they feel healthy and then return to practice/games. You know, kind of like how we managed the flu for the past 50 years or so.

The quicker this virus becomes endemic with substantial natural/vaccinated immunities in place , the quicker we can stop worrying about every little sniffle.

Oredigger, I believe most think like you, but unfortunately it seems 99.9% of "public health" decision makers do not, for whatever reason.

He read my mind. I can't believe we'd be testing people players that aren't symptomatic.

I agree with Oredigger.

They need to change the protocols for these college athletes and not test everyone unless they are showing symptoms beyond a stuffy nose.

Otherwise they will keep canceling games for no reason basically.

Omnicron is more contagious but a lot weaker than Delta or the first strain according to all the science and doctors, so seems people get over it quicker and with not as much problems. They said there might be a couple more strains that come out before it’s gone but that each strain will be weaker and weaker.

Time to get on with life and change the protocols to where they should be now and not like we are at the beginning of this thing still.
