Was Purcell getting released a contract deal? Usually when you’re released, you get signed to the practice squad but he’s in the 53 man roster now. WeirdWYO1016 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 08, 2022 2:27 pm Week 1 Schedule (Active players only):

It was a weird deal. They cut him so they could keep 2 players that they wanted to put on IR on the roster. The next day they sent them to IR and re-signed Purcell to his old deal.
The NFL rule is that if a player is put on IR before the final roster date they can't play all year. If they're put on IR after the final roster date they can come back in 4 weeks. The Broncos asked him and a TE to take one for the team.
Trubisky might have had a small role too.

Sounds like maybe another season ending injury for Chase Roullier in Washington. Really sucks for him. Glad he signed a fat contract at least.

Raptors are a Pro team out of Glendale in Denver. They are really more like semi-pro, very few, if any players in that league, make enough to live on.
Will be interesting to see how he does.
