Oops yeah. Two years in a row. Anyway, I highly doubt we’ll get the potato. Jmo. I would put money on it
CBS’s updated bowl projections today have us in the Potato.

https://www.cbssports.com/college-footb ... edictions/

That said, if I had to pick the most likely destination from what I’ve heard, I’d pick New Mexico.
Barf! I don’t want the potato. I still don’t think it’ll happen

UNLV can go to Boise - and they'll love it because it has been so long for them going to a bowl.
I believe that UNLV will find a way to lose one of its remaining games and will be watching bowl season from home. It’s UNLV.

Hawaii sounds to be the least likely destination. I would not discount Boise, winning one of the next two is important.

I’m not anticipating anything until we hear who is being sent back to the front from the M*A*S*H
unit.

Hope Hawkeye, BJ, and Winchester can patch up the boys quickly and soon. We'll need them against the Smurfs.

Here is an interesting projection: First Responder Bowl vs. Houston on December 27 in Dallas.

https://www.yahoo.com/sports/bowl-proje ... 38214.html

I think the author is literally throwing darts here but would be a good date and matchup and location.

Another dart throw projection:

Lending Tree Bowl on December 17 vs. Troy in Mobile Alabama. That would be a cool experience but I put the odds of this somewhere about 0%.

And finally the most realistic projection scenario. New Mexico Bowl versus North Texas.

Let's win the last 2, host the MWC Championship Game, win that and be 10-3 marching into the LA Bowl!

not to totally count our chickens before they hatch...but even if we won out, would we host?

IF Heaven forbid we actually win out, we will host. When the Aztecs beat Joser this past weekend, it helped our chances. If we win out, we'll finish at 7-1 and we would be the only 7-1 team in conference play therefore we would host.

BUT, first things first, beat the Smurfs!!!!!

Yes. IF we win out, we are guaranteed to host.

And likely Fresno State (again, again).

Yes, Fresno would also have to lose this week to Nevada among other things to have SDSU or SJSU be in the game instead.

Also - according to Mountain West Wire, the Air Force Falcons will be playing in 2 bowl games!

I question that account / group regularly. Not sure they don't have at least half of their heads up their asses on a regular basis.

That would be an interesting game since neither team scores many points. Projected score would be 3 to 2.

Boise and Fresno are not two easy final remaining games. We will find out how good we really are against the best MWC has to offer. 9-3 would be awesome and I think we would get a really good bowl then.

Bowl Projections - November 28

A lot of uncertainty surrounding MW bowls this year with UNLV at 5-7 potentially going to a bowl game depending on the NCAA and the results of Buffalo and New Mexico State next weekend. This has created a wide net of projections for this time of the year.

Wyoming vs. Southern Miss in the New Mexico Bowl (ABQ Dec. 17)

Schlabach - Wyoming vs. Rice in Arizona Bowl (Tucson Dec. 30)

Mountain West Wire continues with its idiotic projections having both Wyoming and Boise in the First Responder Bowl.
