Going to be interesting watching them over the next few years. Bobby Petrino is a pretty good offensive coordinator hire. Despite his previous situations, the guy has a good offensive mind.

UNLV is putting together an impressive staff with a tremendous amount of P5 coaching experience. I actually believe they could be a real player if the money continues to flow into their program.

Honestly, I've been hearing that for 15 years.OrediggerPoke wrote: ↑Thu Dec 15, 2022 5:07 pm UNLV is putting together an impressive staff with a tremendous amount of P5 coaching experience. I actually believe they could be a real player if the money continues to flow into their program.

That’s strange you heard that because the UNLV staffs for the last 15 years have had pretty much zero FBS head coaching experience. Over that span, they’ve brought in a high school coach, an FCS coach, a MWC running backs coach and Arroyo (a coordinator that Oregon was happy to unload) to serve as head coaches.laxwyo wrote: ↑Sat Dec 17, 2022 10:34 pmHonestly, I've been hearing that for 15 years.OrediggerPoke wrote: ↑Thu Dec 15, 2022 5:07 pm UNLV is putting together an impressive staff with a tremendous amount of P5 coaching experience. The only reason I brought this up is because UNLV is taking the approach many on here have advocated. They have Vegas; perplexing why they struggle so bad. It will be interesting to watch.OrediggerPoke wrote: ↑Sun Dec 18, 2022 7:24 amThat’s strange you heard that because the UNLV staffs for the last 15 years have had pretty much zero FBS head coaching experience. Yep. 30 years ago, Las Vegas was a great place to live, work, etc. Now - a total poop with CA transplants / assholes galore. That place is awful.
