The video had some great highlights for us including highlights of the Pokes embarrassing BYU on ESPN Thursday (Sept. 1, 1988).

I was at that one, too! It was insane.
One of the thing the video reminded me, is that we weren't a pass-only team. There were a lot of great running plays.

I was at both games.
I was also at the 1987 game v; OSU where everyone thought Thurman Thomas was supposed to be their best player. I remember telling my friend Mike that I thought OSU's second teamer was better than Thomas as we watched the game. The next year Barry Sanders proved it to the world.

I went to the OSU game with my folks. My mom pointed out that it was a big deal they had Thurman Thomas, and it was a great win for us.doreno5 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 03, 2023 11:10 amI was at both games.

We lost to Okie State in 1987 with they had both Thurman and Barry, 34-27. Our only win against the southern Pokes was in 1995, 45-25.Lost Poke wrote: ↑Sat Feb 04, 2023 2:10 pmI went to the OSU game with my folks.
