I disagree. It’s been a big problem. We’ve kept Peasley in the pocket to protect him and not nearly enough designed QB runs to take advantage of his speed. Also several times last year where QB sneak easily is the play call on 4th down and short and we either made some weird play call or punter.

Peasley not running isn't holding the offense back. A 50% completion on the other hand...OrediggerPoke wrote: ↑Sun Feb 12, 2023 10:25 amI disagree. It’s been a big problem. They go hand in hand. If the defense has to contain Peasley and respect his running ability, it opens up receivers and throwing lanes.ragtimejoe1 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 12, 2023 10:45 amPeasley not running isn't holding the offense back. Difference of opinion. I don't think Peasley missing 50% of his throws is because he isn't getting good looks.OrediggerPoke wrote: ↑Sun Feb 12, 2023 10:52 amThey go hand in hand. I think he was under utilized as well. I think they were really hoping he'd turn out to be a pocket passer. WiOrediggerPoke wrote: ↑Sun Feb 12, 2023 10:52 amThey go hand in hand. I saw far too many open receivers which Peasley either did not see or over/under threw to believe he can be effective as a pocket passer. He was at his best rolling out and throwing short.laxwyo wrote: ↑Sun Feb 12, 2023 9:12 pmI think he was under utilized as well. I think they were really hoping he'd turn out to be a pocket passer. I agree. It's what allowed Chambers to win us quite a few games despite not being that great of a passer.OrediggerPoke wrote: ↑Sun Feb 12, 2023 10:52 amThey go hand in hand. Josh Allen wasn’t that great passing in this system. He was awesome outside the pocket. Peasley was kept in the pocket this year because there was no real back up. The kid from Texas is probably ready to play day one, so let Peasley run. He is fast.

Yup, there's a common theme here that we go and get QBs that would be absolutely great in an RPO/bootleg system, then we criminally underutilize those concepts and wonder why our passing game has never been great (even under Allen) and why our receivers never get any separation. Lol.
