Irrespective of how our conference mates perform, watching the opening round is depressing. It feels like we are light years away from even being competitive against the 16 seeds with no hope for the future.

It’s not a good conference and really has never been one. Crafty non- conference scheduling leads to inflated records and higher NET rankings leading to more teams in the tourney than should be. Other than SDSU’s improbable run last year, the MWC’s NCAAT record has been abysmal.

We are a bad team in a middling conference.

Mountain West teams not named SDSU are 1-13 in the tourney since 2019. The only win being CSU in a play-in game.

Is there any luckier team than the asstecs in the tourney? It’s been pudsville for them the first two rounds the last two years. The toughest team they’ve played is Dayton the last two years

Purdue is still hot from losing to a 16 seed in the first round last year. They're a wrecking ball this season.

The SEC is a trash men's bball conference. They had 8 teams selected for March Madness, and by the end of the second day, 6 of them were eliminated. LOL.
