The Southeastern Conference, reportedly keen on adding Texas A&M amid the onrush of a Big 12 shakeup, would be just as interested in luring Texas and Oklahoma but doesn't see either as a realistic option, sources with knowledge of the SEC's maneuverings have told ESPN and ESPN.com.

But Texas would have had NO chance at strong-arming so many powerhouses, so that would not have been much of an option. And even still, aTm is not garunteed to go to the SEC, as they are being pressured by the other schools into either going with them to the PAC-10/11/16/whatever or to never play those schools again.
