We are a really good defensive team and a really bad offensive team. We don't have a single player who can create anything off the dribble. That is going to be a killer come conference play.

The problem seems to be Shyatt's SOA (Stand Around Offense). Nobody really moves. The defensive players don't have to do any work. To me everything looks like one-on-one. The Pokes dribble around and (when they don't lose it) pass it to a teammate who plays one-on-one again. No real plays - just wait till a defender sneezes and then try a shot.

Difference tonight was the 3 point line. Wyoming didn't hit one single 3 and they got hot the last 5 minutes from the 3. Denver is a very tough ball club this year though so I am not bothered by this loss at all. Denver will be in the NCAA tournament. Tough road game. We should finish ooc 14-2.

Was it just me or did they just not have much urgency or quickness about moving the ball around? A half-court game is fine, but the ball has to keep moving. They didn't seem to really attack in the half court until the end of the game when it was late. The D seemed a little more passive tonight as a result too.

I hope that we are more aggressive when we play a team that is trying to push the pace a little more than we do instead of having two teams trying to minimize the number of possessions.

0-11 from three pretty much tells the story too. We will still be fine in conference. I expect about 4-5 losses in-conference.

Conference play is going to be ugly for any team that misses every 3 while the opposing team is hitting them.

I still think we are going to be pleased with how we end up in conference play. I doubt we win the championship, but I do expect us to wear white jerseys for the first round of the MWC tournament. The last coaching regime could only talk about that happening "someday."
