Re: Toledo Coach Campbell Finally Heads West
It's news, except if you read the story two years ago when Wyoming played at Toledo and he was an assistant at Toledo. Yeah, except the story and the 'news' wasn't posted two years ago -- it was posted only a day or so ago. Make sure you buy a new WYO jacket this year that looks better on you than ...

Toledo Coach Campbell Finally Heads West
Full Column: http://www.toledoblade.com/UT/2012/09/05/Campbell-to-finally-head-west.html Much of the discussion locally next week will center on Matt Campbell facing his previous employer, Bowling Green, in the Battle of I-75. Unknown to many is University of Toledo's football coach is in a similar ...

Re: SiriusXM National Broadcast From The War In The Works
I'm thinking about canning the whole idea. Frankly I'm more than a little surprised there does not seem to be more enthusiasm for the idea. Look it, I know its not ESPN Game Day being on campus, but still, it's a national radio show providing levels of exposure & visibility to our team that does...

Re: Pokes too content after Texas game
I'm glad that the coaches are pleased with the direction the team is headed, but I agree that there should have been some more fire in the post game press conferences. Your goal every game should be to win, not just to put up a decent effort. Special teams play was unforgivable this game, especiall...

Re: SiriusXM National Broadcast From The War In The Works
That may be a great idea... Okay, I'll leave it to the family members on the board here. If I brought my national show to a game this season, would you prefer the big game against Boise State -- or the big game for the bronze boot against CSU? There is a third option of course, I could leave my show...

Yeah right, a radio show...or some poop like that.
Exactly.

Toledo more than legit
Pokes will have their hands full and cannot make mistakes they made last week. Toledo took Arizona to OT last week, they have terrific receivers, and they play most everyone very tough. Last season they lost by 5 at Ohio State, they waxed the same Temple team that waxed us in the bowl game - they be...

Re: Pokes too content after Texas game
Roger that. You missed the entire point of my missive. That's okay. In addition it wasn't a statement, it was an analysis as I saw last week's game...by the way you disagree with what exactly? You disagree that Wyoming was run on again for major-major yards? You disagree that the tackling was suspec...

I really like what the Tribune Eagle & Boomerang have done with the pretty new online sports site they've created: http://www.wyosports.net/

Re: SiriusXM National Broadcast From The War In The Works
I guess I should clarify, the game itself would NOT be available to be aired on SiriusXM, at least not on the channel that I am a part of. This would be akin to say a 3-4 hour 'pre-game show', the broadcast would go right up until just about kickoff time...Learfield Sports and the Wyoming Football R...

Re: Which newspaper does a better job?
Thanks for the response, I was starting to think that either nobody had an opinion -- or that a few folks here are a little bit too shy. Thanks again.

SiriusXM National Broadcast From The War In The Works
Right now I'm shooting for the Boise State game on October 27 -- depending on how this season plays out. Show would air a few hours before the game and I'd like to see it done in an area that would be available for fans to watch and listen. We would try and get on as much WYO personnel as possible, ...

Which newspaper does a better job?
In your opinion, which newspaper covers the POKES better?
Is it the Tribune Eagle/Boomerang, or is it the Casper Star-Tribune?
I'd be interested in your answers...and why.

Pokes too content after Texas game
While I was pleased with some things in Saturday's game at Texas, I felt that there were way too many things that were troublesome enough that it makes me a little disappointed to read the quotes out of Robert Gagliardi's game story in the Tribune-Eagle Sunday. Even Gags threw in a dig of his own at...

Re: Sunday Morning QB
They'd better shore up the sieve that is their lack of a run defense -- in addition to finding a consistent run game themselves, or they could be staring 0-2 in the face...Toledo is a solid football team.
