When did he leave? The end of spring ball this last year?

Apparently he wasn't needed at QB like he thought. Glad he's back. We could always use more/better athletes. I wonder if he could ever earn his scholly back, or if that particular ship has forever sailed.

I don't blame him for leaving... he was just brainwashed from his time growing up in Gillette.

Hopefully those posters who were hoping for his failure once he decided to leave are quick to forgive...

Left at the end of fall camp. I'm sure that if Bohl is lenient enough to let him back onto the team via walk-on, I'm sure there will be an opportunity to earn a scholarship.

Wasn't he swapped to TE before he left? Could definitely use him there, or maybe even DE.

Moved to TE, didn't like it, wanted to be a QB, now he's back... as a TE.

Didn't he make it to 2nd or 3rd TE before leaving? I vaguely remember that he did pretty good at it, considering...

And I'm too lazy to look it up.

Welcome back, Austin. He was the top Wyoming football player a couple years ago. Great to get him back in the fold.

What an interesting turn of events. Apparently the door did not hit him on the way out. Good to see true Wyoming D1 talent wearing the Brown and Gold again.

Welcome back Austin

I thought he got moved to LB after being moved to TE and he quit like 1 or 2 practices after being moved to LB? I could be wrong though....

Maybe Austin could play DE? He's got the height and quickness to play DE, he just needs 30 lbs.

It seems to me that if you can play at all, and willing to come practice for no scholarship, he lets you on the team. Seems to be a ton of walk-ons.

Fort calls his decision to leave the program "an overreaction."

He has been promised a scholarship at the end of Spring ball according to him! We all know how those promised scholarships have worked out. I have mixed feelings about this but I wish the kid the best!

Only problem is the HC let the TE coach go elsewhere.
