I like them.
Much better than the new ones that'll be coming out for Oklahoma.

Both look great. There's not many places in the world that can compare to the scenic beauty of the Green River Lakes. The gold UW license plates will really look sharp in person too.

Absolutely awesome. Had the opportunity to gaze upon the beauty of the Green River Lakes this summer. It's almost as beautiful as the Tetons. Great choice.

5 digit and Letters next to county number means unlimited new vanity plates right?
So does the "a" designate a UW alumni?

Oklahoma's are meh.
Minnesota has basically had the same plates since the late 70s.

I like them, but I wish Wyoming would give you a choice of Tetons, Old Faithful, Devils Tower and the Green River Lakes, that they are going to, but change is cool, curious what their plans are in 8 years again. I'd be all for a UW alumni tag on the plate as well but put War Memorial Jonah Field in the back ground.

I don't hate Oklahoma's, but the old one was much better.
Note on the new WY plates. There will be a small T next to the county for a truck plate, a small A next to the county for an alumni plate (UW plate), and other letter designations. I think they needed to do that to avoid confusion with other states. My license plate is 2-35 brown and gold, but if I were to get a car pool lane ticket in Denver chances are it would go to whoever had the normal 2-35 plate.

Are the plates that fake yellow color or are they the actual Wyoming yellow?Wyokie wrote:http://mycountry955.com/wyoming-rolling ... se-plates/

That makes a big difference. I'll probably buy them either way, but I would prefer if it we're actually Wyoming yellow. I would pay more for that.
Wyoming Cowboy basketball:
National Champions 1943.
Helm's foundation National Champions 1934.
NCAA tournament MVP and two time College Basketball Player of the Year Kenny Sailors, who is credited with inventing the jump shot.
Do you remember Cowboy Basketball?
I do.

The yellow in the picture looks brighter than I remember them looking in person at the county licensing place. I have the regular new plate on my truck, but didn't' get the new alumni plate on my car yet.
BTW ... did you know you can renew your plates for up to 23 months? That is how I got the new plate several months ago - I renewed for 23 months instead of the standard 12 months. I didn't realize that until this year.

God is a Cowboy
I could see that being a huge issue with the way we separate our car/truck plates nowWYO1016 wrote:I don't hate Oklahoma's, but the old one was much better.

But what if an alumni wanted to put UW plates on their truck?

Several people here said the same thing. It's supposed to be the state bird for Oklahoma - Scissor-tailed flycatcher.
Personally, Wyoming's state bird - the Western Meadowlark - is far more beautiful.

They should poop-can the county designation numbers. Make it anonymous where you live. Then people from, say, Cody, with their skinny little 1's don't have to feel inferior to the Casperites with their big fat 1.

No way. Love the county numbers! It aids in my decision whether to honk at a bad driver or not.Adv8RU12 wrote:They should poop-can the county designation numbers. Make it anonymous where you live.
