boys of fall
So I have no idea what kinda music everyone listens to but you gotta go over to youtube and view kenny chesneys "boys of fall" music video. Its over 8 mins long but worth the view. If this doesn't get you even more ready for the start of the season I don't know what will.

Yeah, it debuted on SportsCenter a week or so ago. Definitely has me ready for football, especially when combined with the slight hint of fall in the air here in Laramie the last couple mornings!

Pretty good song, but I don't get how it pumps anybody up... I need something heavier/faster to get my blood going.
Like this... this was absolutely awesome, and the game ended even better. I had no voice left for the next three days:

too bad kenny chesney is a douche! here's his songs in a nut shell. blah blah blah summer. blah blah blah beaches. blah blah blah...i wish i wasn't lame.
Sports music needs to be way heavier. Killswitch Engage comes to mind! Or a little Five Finger Death Punch!

I agree. I actually don't have anything against Chesney, but sports music, especially something like football needs to be heavier. Killswitch or 5 finger would work. I also think Hatebreed, Pantera, Slipknot, Slayer, maybe Trivium or Darkest Hour. Or just get totally heinous and play some Lamb of God. I could list more, but I'll stop there.

For me, it would be more along the lines of AC/DC (take your pick on this one), KISS (Detroit Rock City, I Want to Rock n Roll All Nite), Motley Crue (Wild Side), Metallica (between Wolf and Man), Foreigner (Jukebox Hero), and a dash of Guns n Roses (Welcome to the Jungle, Paradise City).

CCR used to get us pumped up over in Nam - but that was a long time ago (still good listening though).

Don't hate on Nirvana. Poison and other hair bands ruined rock and roll.Wyokie wrote:This is the only one on the list I know of.kansasCowboy wrote:Bon Jovi- Wanted Dead or Alive

Actually, I do hate Nirvana. Can't stand bands who bitch at the world or write songs to where you can't understand what they're singing about. Besides Def Leppard was (& still is) one of the best metal bands ever. Poison and those other hair bands were just riding Leppards' coattails and trying to get laid at the same time!MrTitleist wrote:Don't hate on Nirvana. I'd have to add "Lunatic Fringe" by Red Rider. I love it when it plays in the movie "Vision Quest".

Or how about "Let's Get Rocked" by Def Leppard

holy crap, where has this thread gone? We WERE talking about some FFDP and Killswitch along with some REAL metal bands. Def Leopard and company were too busy examining their own packages in their gay tights! Next thing you know, someone is going to say mullets are still kinda cool!

Creed and Kanye were requested by our Running back...And since he lead the state in rushing last year, we decided we shouldn't argue.lol
I'm not a big fan of the two either. But I do think you might enjoy Pillar, 12 Stones and TFK. Those guys are pretty good.
