I don't know about how that works, don't you have to score points to be favored?

We could get our 8.8 pts a game and hold them to a safety or something.
Seriously, I think this is probably Glenn's only chance for another win. We'll see if the team steps up to play like the men they should be, or if they have truely given up.

Cue up the Keystone Cops music. This should be a very entertaining football game. I'll predit 20-13 Wyoming with UW scoring a fumble recovery for a TD and a punt return for TDs (and a missed extra point) and SDSU with a pick six and a kick-off return for a TD (and a missed extra point).

Too bad we are not an underdog in this one...considering UW has not covered the spread for ANY game all year. Yep, if you woulda bet against the pokes on the spread in any game, you would be a winner. :(

Uh oh. Vegas read the MWC forum and the Wyoming forums as it is now only -3! lol One season we will have a winning season. I still doubt Wyoming will win this one. It would be nice though if we did but I doubt anyone would feel satisfaction from it though.

Wyoming will beat the other 3 worst teams in the MWC (SDSU, UNLV, & CSU), finish with a 5-7 record overall again, but more conference wins than last year, and that will be the "improvement" needed for Glenn to keep his job. SDSU has the worst run defense in the nation, we may have D-mo & Wynel run for 200 each if we can hang on to the ball.

I don't really think that is going to happen, but, I am actually still holding on to hope of winning out (6-6), and getting lucky invite to a bowl game (like 2004).

Still ticked we were screwed out of bowl game in 2006, I know I need to get over it, but somehow I feel karma owes us Pokes fan one. Maybe the karma from getting lucky in 04 is why we got screwed in 06, but I thought 04 was making up for 1996 (9-2, no bowl game).

Hilarious! First off, I could MAYBE buy a victory against CSU, as it is senior day, and the farewell game for Glenn & company (see Lubick 2007). SDSU is going to come alive and put together a game (like somewhat between their tilt against ND and CSU), UNLV is gonna beat our ass, Tennessee is going to humiliate us. Game, set, match. The fat lady is singin.

Love the avatar by the way.

This line opened at Wyoming -3. It's been bet up to -5. Not sure how many of you know or care about such things but a line movement of 2 points is huge in the sports betting world. That means that big money has come in on the Pokes(betting on Wyoming to win and cover) in the Las Vegas sportsbooks as well as the offshore/online joints. There's no set number as to when a book will move a number up or down a point depending on the money coming in on one side, but it's usually a lot. That means the sharps are on Wyoming, we'll see.

I may place a small bet on the Pokes, but as we all know that's still taking a big chance, even against SDST the only game we probably have a chance of winning. SDST did stay with Notre Dame earlier this year. Yeah, I know, that's not saying much but the Irish would destroy this Wyoming team.

I never saw it open at -3, not calling you full of poop or anything. I did post this (original -5 post) Monday morning...so if it changed, it did so in less than one day? That is even stranger...and very rare. Unless there is a ton of "hedge" money as well placed throughout the week that stabalized the line? Hmmm.

Maybe the Vegas bookies found out that SDSU is staying at a Holiday Inn Express tonight.

This line did open at -3 and the buckhole is right lots of sharp money coming in on Wyoming early in the week and the public bet it back down to 3 and now the sharps have bought it back up to 5.5. Based on that line movement I say Wyoming will win this game.

I guess Vegas knew something we didn't (until about 2:00pm Saturday) SDSU is the worst team we have faced all year, and maybe all decade.
