Plans to sell naming rights of the AA and War? Thoughts?

First off, not sure what took so long, and how many millions Burman and his admin staff have left on the table the last 17 or so years. It unfortunately is the future, and UW should have been all over this in the 90's or early 00's. For that, I am pretty pissed off. Work a little harder, and increase your income 7 figures fairly easily. Ideas were passed around about Union Pacific, UPS, and a host of others, to just fall silent over and over again.

Second, I know we all like "War Memorial Stadium" - which it will always be. Just may be Union Pacific War Memorial Stadium. I am fine with that. The AA - well - don't get me started. What a stupid name, and for UW to not take advantage of the facility they have (concerts, shows, rodeos, etc.) is so damn ridiculous, it makes my head hurt. Oh wait, it take WORK to make that happen, something nobody at UW inspires to do - and hasn't since Gary Barta.

I'd go with anything that promotes the area for tourism dollars. Weatherby (with a huge rifle somewhere in the logo), Cabelas, Browning, Benelli, Ruger, Beretta, etc. Pistol Pete could become Beretta Bill or Willie Winchester....
No. It has to be something mainstream. It's no accident that a lot of stadiums are named after banks or credit unions or even soft drinks. I guess if you gave coke or pepsi exclusive rights for games and concerts, they might go for it. The dominant bank in the area would be ideal. Let it have first option to issue credit cards and car loans to all the students. Anything along those lines, I suppose. Of course it should have been sooner. Csewe is getting 38 million over 15 years from Canvas credit union for naming rights. That sure helps when a coach needs to be gotten rid of.

Concentrate state resources. Wyoming Tourism War Memorial. Use UW to promote UW and WY tourism.

Every week is a new theme based on tourist spots. Yellowstone week with POKES vs ...

Maybe will help sell advertising to outdoor companies?

Laramie is a town of 30K people. The appeal will need to be regional vs. local. I don't see big dollars for anything that doesn't "speak" to the Rocky Mountain region. Cabelas is about as mainstream as it gets (and kind of local in an I-80 sort of way).

It's been a corporate sponsered Jonah Field for like 20 years, bro.

Field. Yes, I know.

Stadium? No, has not been worked on. Same with the stupid AA name.
Oh, and Jonah field doesn't do shit for anyone, other than replace our turf when needed.

When was the last time you shopped, or banked, or used the services of a "Jonah"? A testament to the O&G industry, and the wealthy that owned that land, sure, and thank you.

OnlyFans Stadium... who says no?
This would be gold!! And a company like OnlyFans would probably jump at the opportunity for naming rights and pay big money for the inevitable media splash and numerous articles discussing the appropriateness of the company being named to the stadium. Too bad we live in Wyoming and the tell people how to live their lives crowd in the legislature would never allow it.

Dude. Smh

If we want to actually compete in the new FBS era, in our market, something innovative and attention drawing like that to bring in the dollars and eyeballs may be the only realistic way.
I don’t want a modern day whore house sponsoring UW. I would never be able to take my family to games lol. I can just hear it now.. Daddy, what is Only Fans, well, daughter, it’s a website where degenerate loser men pay money to desperate women with no ambition, dignity, morals or skills sell their naked bodies for money

I’d rather take money from Pfizer and that’s saying a lot
