Streaming cbssports

I've got the Superbox - - its been great for movies/TV shows. However, it can glitch, lag or shutdown with live events. We have very good wifi, etc.

How is the VeeSee box for live streaming?
Got it in the spring so mainly have watched live baseball and golf. It almost never glitches and if it does it usually corrects itself in a few seconds. With shows by season and episode if it freezes I sometimes have to go back 20 seconds and it starts right up.

For live events if you pause it for critical TV viewing like hitting the can and then getting another beer you can always fast forward through the next commercial to catch up.

Any glitch I have encountered is not enough to be annoying like the Roku and using downloaded Apps developed by a variety of providers where some stuff just doesn’t run good at all. The apps on the VeeSeeBox are already built in.

This is all great info. I've been considering a SuperBox at the rec of a couple friends.. currently I'm on a Roku (annoying, and they've been toying with playing commercials just to turn the fucking thing on), paying for Hulu Live and Netflix. I also have a Plex server which is handy, but running off of a PC I'm trying to get rid of.

The Superbox has been good for us. I had used YouTube TV and Fubo Tv.

We have a Superbox 3, even with the glitches or getting kicked out of the app, we haven't gone back to the others. We have been able to find the UW games, and other sports on the multiple ESPN+ channels, and growing sports channels.

Sounds like I need to try the VeeSee box.

Can you get things like Disney plus on it? The kids do like to watch some stuff on that every once in a while.
On the VeeSee or the Superbox? I’ve had no experience with the SB, but I believe it does have Disney (children programs), not specifically sure on Disney +. I got mine for different programs, our kids are all grown.

I'm ordering today. V3 + or V5 pro?

From what I've read v3+ is cheaper and better option? Some state certain things in the v5 crash?

I’m old too.

This is a good description.

I used to use the Roku and pay for streaming about $110 a month for everything. Now I only pay for YouTube premium (not YouTube TV) because I like watching videos (music, video, live cameras, etc) without watching commercials so it’s the best under $25 a month deal and I don’t need subscriptions to pandora or Sirius.

I also switched to a 5G cell modem internet plan running much faster than the DSL I had and nearly as good as Cable internet which may be faster but at more than double to triple the cost with little noticeable benefit. I estimate I am saving over $1,000 per year from what I previously needed to maximize Wyoming watching on a TV.

As for the buffer issue, I find it’s a VeeSeeBox anomaly with recorded replays (movies and tv shows primarily - once in a while a live hiccup). Some things never buffer. I was never able to watch the MWC app on the Roku without being several minutes behind LIVE due to buffering meaning don’t use your phone for scores or game time posts if you want the suspense of seeing it as it happens. The VeeSeeBox will still be slower than the ESPN game tracker but within 30 seconds not 3-5 minutes.
For the record, I found out that when a show glitches, I press the up arrow button and change servers to another in the list and it fixes the issue every time. Voila!

Would love your "dime" after you work it for a bit. I am still a bit leery to use the Napster of TV...
Have had it since May. Have enjoyed free access to sports, movies, shows by season and episode without commercials along with the rare times I watch local stations.

It’s been pretty dependable and I rarely have to deal with a hiccup. Once in awhile streaming a show will decide to freeze and I can’t get it started so I just go to the next episode. I’m talking a reality show like Gold Rush. Any hiccups with live sports are very rare and might last 2-3 seconds which might be the broadcast itself.

I’m impressed with the variety of access. I have never had this much paying for premium packages with DirecTV or FuboTV.

From what I can gather the apps that run free content are on borrowed time. They likely will be shut down but difficult to know when. 1 day. 1 year? 5 years?

Right? I want one, but this seems illegal AF
My understanding is that the device is legal and can run your subscriptions to things like Netflix, Amazon, or whatever.

It also comes pre-loaded with apps that get all the free content. The apps are illegally getting the channels. Viewing the illegal content is a gray area and viewers are unlikely to be charged with anything since the app is pirating the content. If you save pirated content then that might be an issue.

At some point, the pirating apps will most likely be shut down

Have you gotten one?

My limited (about 2 hours) of playing with it experience:

Easy set-up and pretty intuitive to navigate if you have any familiarity with smart tvs, apps, etc.

I did not enter any of my login credentials into the various apps that I currently subscribe to. If you were getting this just for the app feature (paramount +, Disney+, etc.), I'm not sure it is a lot better than modern smart tvs.

Using the Heat apps, you really can get about anything. I'm sure I'm not unlocking the full potential of it, but was able to find a ton of stuff. Yes, I did get access to things I don't have a subscription for. The latter makes me wonder how long the Heat apps stay up, but for now, they do work very well to get a lot of content. If it makes 3 or 4 months, then the money savings will have paid for the box. Anything longer is saving money compared to what I currently do plus this has way more content access (looks to be viable option to Sunday Ticket, for example).

I felt the same as you. If I got 4 months I’m “clipping coupons”. I’m at 2 years, almost. I have no idea if it’s legal, but felt if Amazon was selling them it has some legitimacy.

When football rolls around, soon, just voice command “Buffalo” to watch JA17, and “Cincinnati” to watch “55”.
